I love walks in the rain.When I was in class 5th I had a beautiful red umbrella with little white and blue flowers printed on it.I loved my umbrella. In rainy season after school I used to take the lonely route to my home so i can enjoy the rain and jump in little puddles :O)
So this one is memory of those days.

Good work, Indira! I never liked getting drenched in rain. Somehow I always feel its something to be enjoyed from the inner side of the window pane. BTW does this illustration reflect the actual landscape of your hometown or is it just imagination? Also reminds me of the incredible Miyazaki film "My neighbor totoro" wherein Mei and Satsuki return from school and it starts raining on the way home. Breathtaking sequence from an incredible film!

mmm...it isnt exactly like my home town.but the colour of mud there is lovely red and i tried to colour this image similar to that.I love 'My Neighbour Totoro' :O)

O yah, Ishu Patel, to tell you the truth I've not seen alot of his work, I'll try to look it up, whenever I get access to the internet, lol which is so rare :(
It has been long..i am waiting for your next post..how about a little more of your home town..i completely agree with every one else on the blog its a nice work indeed..it also reminds me of the comics that i used to read when i was a child , there was one in perticuler which this painting really gets closed to ..the comic was called Tinkle..ever heard of it..??
